These electronic devices usually come in well-defined physical dimensions and standardized packages.  Attention should be paid to “thermally enhanced package (TEP)” and “bottom terminated components (BTC).”  Both of these package types needs tight manufacturing process control to yield expected reliability.

Its low-cost packaging solution with greater functionality in a smallest possible form factor and low power consumption make it ideal for portable medical applications.
